Two colleagues of more than twenty years. Both have served alongside Kim on the board of the Canadian Language Industry Association. Here is what they say about how she works.

Not endorsements from politicians. These are colleagues who have sat across a boardroom table from Kim for twenty years and more, describing how she actually works.
Kim is the kind of leader who brings substance, preparation, and practical judgment to the table.
Peter Madahian
President, Canadian Language Industry Association
I have had the privilege of working with Kim Pines through the Canadian Language Industry Association for close to a decade, where she has served with distinction in several senior volunteer leadership roles, including Treasurer, Chair of Communications and member of the Executive Committee.
Kim is the kind of leader who brings substance, preparation, and practical judgment to the table. She understands budgets, governance, communications, standards, service delivery, and accountability, all areas that matter deeply in public service. As Treasurer, she demonstrated financial discipline and a careful respect for the resources entrusted to the association. As Chair of Communications, she helped strengthen how we engaged with members, shared information, and presented the organization to the wider community.
Kim also brings more than three decades of experience as a business owner and senior executive. She has built and led a service organization in a demanding, client-focused industry, where listening carefully, solving problems, managing expectations, and delivering consistently are essential. Those are exactly the kinds of skills residents deserve from their councillor.
What stands out most to me is Kim’s ability to combine strategic thinking with practical action. She is thoughtful, steady, collaborative, and direct. She asks the right questions, respects process, and understands that good leadership is not about making noise, it is about doing the work, listening to people, and making responsible decisions.
Ward 3 would be well served by Kim’s experience in financial oversight, community communication, business leadership, governance, and performance improvement. She has spent her career helping people be understood. That ability to listen, translate concerns into action, and bring people together would be a real asset at City Council.
I am very pleased to offer my support and testimonial for Kim Pines.
She is a fixer, a listener, and above all, someone you can rely on.
Lola Bendana
Director, Multi-Languages Corporation
I have had the privilege of working alongside Kim Pines for over 20 years as colleagues on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Language Industry Association (CLIA), as well as multiple committees and projects.
Throughout two decades of collaboration, I have seen firsthand her unwavering commitment to integrity and a rare ability to navigate complex challenges with a steady hand and a clear vision. Her ability to stay calm, analyze a problem, and find a fair path forward is exactly why she is ready to lead on City Council. She is a fixer, a listener, and above all, someone you can rely on.
Kim isn’t just a candidate who talks about leadership; she is a proven leader who has spent her career delivering results. In addition, she has always been the person who brings people together. I witnessed her unique talent for listening to all perspectives and finding the common ground necessary to move projects forward. She is principled, hardworking, and deeply invested in the success of others. She brings a wealth of experience and a track record of excellence to the table.
There is a rare kind of trust that only comes from 20 years of shared experience. She proved herself to be the ultimate problem-solver; she was the person we sought out to resolve challenges because she approaches every problem with integrity and a focus on solutions rather than ego. I have seen her lead through the most difficult moments with grace, and I know she will bring that same unwavering reliability to the city. Most importantly, she does it with care and authenticity.
I have no doubt she will be an incredible advocate for your community on City Council. City Council would be fortunate to have her dedication, deep care for the community and expertise.
